Chip Mong Retail Set to Open Three New Malls by 2021-2022

Chip Mong Retail (a subsidiary of Chip Mong Group) has lined up three (3) major shopping malls for opening from 2021 to 2022, adding to its current two operational malls in Phnom Penh, the Chip Mong Noro Mall and Chip Mong Bak Touk.  

The Chip Mong Group has allocated approximately US$500 million on four developments: three new shopping centers namely Chip Mong Sen Sok Mall, Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall, and Chip Mong 598 Mall, and the Chip Mong Tower which is a mixed-use building offering accommodation, retail and office spaces. 

The three new malls will have a combined gross floor area of 202,000 square meters and is now inviting businesses — both local and foreign — to apply for leases, announced in their Facebook pages.

To attract different buyer groups, Chip Mong Retail is building different types of retail spaces—community malls, shopping malls, and mix-used buildings—to give more options to customers. Inspired by the theme of “Everyday Discovery,” Chip Mong Malls offer a wide range of modern choices and experiences to give shoppers the adventure of exploring new things every time they visit.

Chip Mong Sen Sok Mall

Location: Along Oknha Mong Reththy, St. 1928, Sen Sok, Phnom Penh 
Started: July 2018 
Completed: June 2021 

Situated at the heart of a major commercial business district within Phnom Penh, Chip Mong Sen Sok Mall was built as a four-storey mall, designed under the theme of “Life in Color,” having 41,436 sqm gross floor area and 17,013 sqm net area.  

It aims to cater to mass consumers by offering variety of lifestyle brands and services and numerous dining and entertainment options, including a supermarket, a fitness studio, a premier cineplex, specialty F&B, children’s playground, food-court and popular fashion & sports active brands. 

Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall

Location: Inside Landmark 271, St. 271, Sen Sok, Phnom Penh 
Started: August 2018 
Expected Completion: 2022
 

To be completed in 2022, the Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall will be the company’s largest mall to date: a five-level mall with a gross floor area of around 150,679 square meters and net area of 54,714 square meters. It will house 250 retail spaces (a total of 5.8-hectare leasing area) and a parking lot that can accommodate around 2,000 cars and 500 motorcycles.  

As of July 2021, the construction progress of Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall is at 60% complete, with building components 96% installed. 

Chip Mong 598 Mall

Location: Along Chea Sophara St., Sangkat Chrang Chamreh Muoy, Khan Russei Keo, Phnom Penh (Close to The Parkland 598)  
Started: July 2019 
Expected Completion: 2022 

Nestled in the north of Phnom Penh, outskirts of the city, Chip Mong 598 Mall will mainly serve residents of The Parkland 598 (a project by Chip Mong Land), and other suburban residents and communities like Borey Penghouth Star Premier and Borey Angkor. It will rise as a five-floor shopping center, accumulating about 11,000 square meters of gross floor area seated on 4,837 sqm net area. 

Built as a community mall inside a housing complex, Chip Mong 598 Mall will comprise a Chip Mong Supermarket, restaurants and bars, a Legend cinema complex, a park & children’s playground, and other modern conveniences that meet the needs of the community. In addition, the mall will have a parking lot of 130 car spaces.
