Siem Reap’s Online Passenger Control System Streamlines Border Entry

Travellers through and to Siem Reap can now register online through a passenger control system being implemented by the provincial administration.

Put in place last June 21, the “self-registration" program can be accessed using a Facebook or Google account. Travellers have the option between filling out the form prior to travel or completing it at the border.

Provincial Administration Spokesman Sun Chamnan explained that with this system in place, it will be easier to trace any new infections and related exposures within two to three hours of reporting.

As such, this measure has a dual aim of streamlining travel and preventing future outbreaks.

In particular, the system is speeding up the entry process at checkpoints in Chi Kraeng District (bordering Stoung Distrist of Kampong Thom), Kralanh District (bordering Preah Netr Preah District of Banteay Meanchey), and Srei Snam District (bordering Chongkal District of Oddar Meanchey).

Officials are on standby to provide assistance, while written registration remains available for those without a smartphone.

Personal information such as identification number, full name, age, nationality, and contact number are required, as well as vehicle details like brand, type, color, license plate, and number of passengers.

Registrants also need to outline which ports they will be passing along the way, in addition to point of origin and destination. Lastly, the form asks for latest temperature, number of quarantine days, vaccination date, and purpose of travel.

Once completed, the registrant is included in the transit record and provided with a QR code to show officials at the Siem Reap border.

Chamnan explained that when they arrive at the border, “they are scanned without having to register anything because their data is already in the system,” thus quickening the entry process and avoiding large crowds at checkpoints.

How To Register

  1. Visit Siem Reap Provincial Hall Login or Scan QR.
  2. Register using Facebook or Gmail account
  3. Fill up the form with personal information and car record
    • Fill the ID number, name, age, nationality and phone number
  4. Make a record across the province including personal information and passengers
    • Choose the gate of provinces that you are travelling from and provinces that you are going to
    • Fill the ID number, name, age, nationality and phone number
    • Fill the village of commune, district that you are travelling from
    • Choose provinces that travel to the village, commune, district, provinces, that travels to
