Construction at G.A.T.O Tower continues to move forward in BKK1, Phnom Penh, with the latest site update dated September 2026 showing progress across several important early-stage construction activities.
Current works are focused on preparing the site for the development’s major below-ground and structural construction phases. These include the concrete working platform for heavy equipment, guide walls for the diaphragm wall system, and jet grouting for soil improvement.
The activities form part of the groundwork required to prepare the site for deeper excavation and foundation works as construction advances.

The September 2026 update highlights activity around several sections of the construction site.
Rather than vertical structural work, the project is currently progressing through important preparatory and geotechnical stages designed to establish suitable working conditions for the tower’s foundation and basement construction.

One of the most visible areas of progress is the construction of the concrete working platform.
The platform provides a stable working surface for heavy construction machinery and equipment required during the upcoming foundation and diaphragm wall works.
Based on the areas indicated in the construction layout, approximately 732.96 sqm of concrete platform had been cast across these documented sections by September.
This phased approach allows different areas of the site to be prepared progressively for construction equipment and subsequent works.
Work is also progressing on the guide wall, an important preparatory component for the diaphragm wall system.
The guide walls help define and control the alignment of the diaphragm wall during excavation and construction.
The latest site plan shows guide wall activities progressing around sections of the site’s perimeter, with different areas moving through excavation, reinforcement and formwork installation, and concrete casting.
The diaphragm wall will form an important part of the below-ground construction system as work progresses toward deeper excavation and basement construction.
Jet grouting injection works are also underway as part of the project’s soil improvement programme.
Jet grouting is used to improve the engineering characteristics of the ground by creating strengthened soil-cement columns below the surface. At G.A.T.O Tower, this work is being carried out alongside the guide wall and concrete platform activities.
The latest construction layout indicates completed jet grouting along sections of the site perimeter, while work continues through the remaining planned areas.
These ground-improvement works are an important preparatory stage before more extensive excavation and foundation activities can proceed.
G.A.T.O Tower remains in an early but important phase of construction.
The current focus on soil improvement, guide walls and working platforms establishes the groundwork needed for the project’s more substantial below-ground construction.
As these activities progress, the site will gradually move toward subsequent stages associated with the diaphragm wall, excavation, basement and foundation structure.
The September update therefore represents progress in the enabling and foundation preparation stage, rather than progress on the tower’s above-ground structure.
