UPDATED – Nov. 11, 2025: The Cambodian Government has maintained its commitment to rewarding long-term foreign residents and boosting Siem Reap’s economy. The official ‘Free Angkor Pass’ program, launched in September 2022, is still fully operational today in 2025, granting eligible foreigners a free annual ticket to the majestic Angkor Archaeological Park and Koh Ker Temple. This program continues to be a major incentive for the expat community to engage in domestic tourism.

Who can apply for ‘Free Angkor Pass’?

• All foreigners who have maintained legal residence in Cambodia for a period of two years or more are eligible. This includes long-term residents, investors, diplomats, and foreign workers, along with their immediate families.

What are the requirements to obtain the ‘Free Angkor Pass’?

• (1) passport copy, (1) proof of residence (Cambodian visa), and (1) 4×6 photo taken recently in the last 6 months from the date of the announcement

When can I start applying for the ‘Free Angkor Pass’?

• Processing of application starts from September 9, 2022 and is still on going until now

Where can apply for the ‘Free Angkor Pass’?

• At Angkor Enterprise office, during business hours from 5AM – 5:30PM, located in Apsara Rd., Krong Siem Reap or online via Angkor Enterprise website

When & Where can I use the ‘Free Angkor Pass’?

• Once you have successfully applied and received your annual free pass, you can use it for one complimentary entry to the Angkor Archaeological Park (including Angkor Wat, Bayon, Ta Prohm, etc.) and Koh Ker Temple at any time within its one-year validity. The right to apply for a free pass is reset annually, allowing qualified residents to receive a new pass each year.

Update on Standard Tourist Passes (2025)

For visitors who do not qualify for the resident pass, the standard Angkor Pass prices for 2025 are:

• 1-day pass: $37

• 3-day pass: $62 (valid for 3 entries within 10 days)

• 7-day pass: $72 (valid for 7 entries within 30 days)

For the first six months of 2025 (January to June), the Angkor site in Siem Reap welcomed 560,000 international tourists. The Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI) has set a goal to welcome 2 million passengers (which includes international and domestic arrivals and departures) for the full year 2025.
